Youth Peer Support Community
Building Leadership, Empathy, and Belonging
(YAM, Inc. — Youth Empowerment & Healing Initiative)
The Program:
The Youth Peer Support Community is the heart of YAM’s leadership and fellowship.
Here, youth learn that support is power — and that healing multiplies when shared.
This program creates a sacred circle of peers who listen, uplift, and guide one another. Through weekly check-ins, open discussions, and group activities, youth develop trust, emotional intelligence, and leadership rooted in empathy. They learn to hold space for one another, manage conflict with compassion, and celebrate growth as a collective.
Our facilitators teach from lived experience — modeling the strength that comes from transparency, teamwork, and understanding.
“When one of us rises, we all rise. Support is the seed of leadership.”
